Clothes, clothes, and more clothes!!

The number one job that I dispise about being a Mom ... is the sorting of clothing as Caroline is growing in and out of the seasons and sizes. Its bad enough with one child, trying to keep up with what does and doesnt fit her, and putting away items in bins for the next round of girls. But, man O man with 4 kiddos, and three of the same age, but different sizes and genders ... O BOY .... and O GIRL, and O GIRL and O GIRL!! haha
I have been so fotunate to receive second-hand clothing from friends, which is great to keep the spending at a minimum when the babies get here! Thankfully I have had a lot of help from a few friends (Katie and Shannon) to sort through it all and put it away into the respective bins for later use and put it away in the babies room for when they arrive. Its quite the job and not something I am able to do anymore. Then there is the transfer of Carolines room and clothes. She is 21 months now, so she is inbetween sizes, of 18-24 months, and going into 2T soon. Basically I think I am going to need to come up with a really good and organized process once these babies get here when it comes to rotating the clothing every couple of months! Anyone have suggestions on how, Id love to hear what works for you! :-)

  1. Hi Katie!
I keep an empty tote in everyone's closet and label it with the size clothing they are currently wearing and what season.( ex: Boys 4T Spring/Summer) Then as they outgrow clothes I wash them and put them straight into the tote. When the tote is full it goes to storage to wait for the next one to be ready to wear them!
