As the babies are getting ready to hit their 16 week birthday, I thought I would share the recent standings and events. As for the routine of our daily schedule ... we do an early feeding at 4am (by we, I mean Scott, he does this feeding and I take the 7:30) and they go back to sleep until the wake for the day around 7:30-8am (when Caroline gets up), we feed everyone breakfast in their trip-z/highchair (they are taking 5 oz every feeding) change diapers and get dressed in clothes for the day and then its tummy/playtime for 90 mins. Then they all go down in their cribs for nap #1 for 60-90 mins or so, then up again for mid day feeding, and then play time for 90 mins or so, then the afternoon nap #2 and they sleep about 2-3 hours, and wake to eat again around 4:30. In the evenings they take a small 1hr cat nap in swings while we do dinner and such, then its bath time for all around 6-6:30 and then we do a final feeding of the night around 7-7:30, all are down and asleep no later than 8pm and then they sleep until the 4am feeding. We are hoping to lose the 4am feeding in a month or so - but otherwise the cycles seems to work ... for now, haha - until they decide to change it up again :-) They do wake from time to time throughout the night and fuss, but generally they put themselves back to sleep, if not we get up and pop a binky.
We are managing to get out and about quite a bit, which is extreamly helpful for my psychie and overall well being. Of course it is far from easy, but generally we do our little adventures with Daddy, or some of our great friends and family. This week we managed to go to the beach one last time with the Shea family - so much fun! Caroline really enjoys playing with Miles (3yrs) and Gavin (1yr) and I get to enjoy time with Cara - whose company has become hard to live without. (pics on the shutterfly account) We also got to the mall twice this week. One day I even managed to have 4 nappers in one stroller at once - which I celebrated with a LARGE ice coffee, haha. Caroline then got to meet Santa, which is ADORABLE! He told her since she was such a great big sister - she might get something special for Christmas ... now to determine what that might be ... On the second trip to the mall with Auntie Kimmy, the girls got their 'bling' - aka earings! We have been talking about getting them pink and purple earing to help tell tem appart since they were first born. However, when we got there, the only option was pink or diamond in the 14k white gold (which is recommended) - so I decided Id rather have them the same. They look SO cute, and like sweet little girls, I love it!
Last weekend we had a wonderful visit from Abby and Parker Janie Berry - all the way from Morris, Illinois. We had such a great time catching up from the ol' roomie days and the girls played so well! We went to the indoor playground, had a Mexican dinner at the new local and authentic resturant and managed to watch a few movies and drink some vino! It was a wonderful visit and as always, ended far too soon!
We are getting ready for the holidays, which are right around the corner. We are going to Florida with my parents for a week and CANT WAIT! Friends of theirs are letting us all stay at their condo on the beach near Tampa for 5 nights and then we are headed to Orlando to see the most magical place on earth for 3 nights. We had some free flights that expire at the end of the year and Scott had a week of vacation days he had to 'use or lose' ... so with a little nudge and help from my parents we are going to manage to get a little vacation in a warmer climate, for very cheap! The we are looking forward to hosting Scotts family around the holidays and very excited to have them all hear to celebrate one of the greatest times of the year!
