33 weeks and the "tick tock" starts now!

Another incredible week has snuck passed us, and here we are at 33 weeks!! I literally have to pinch myself to believe it! Not that I didnt believe in us, but with all the statistics pointing against going this far ... its amazing, even to us! Dont get me wrong, each hour is a blessing these days and I am still striving for the big big big goal of 35.4 for the csection. I wonder every time I stand up if one of the babies waters are going to break, or with every twinge of pain if its contractions starting. The appt yesterday went well. Each time we head to Boston I have to prepare myself that it could potentially be the 'birth-day' and have to pack the car with bags and kiss Caroline byebye knowing I might not see her for 4-5 days. BUT, yesterday as a good report. All babies are doing well, good fluid, lots of movement, breathing and growing! They are weighing in at;  Amelia is 4.15 lbs, Scarlett is 4.6 lbs, and Jameson is 5.5 lbs! which are all in the upper percentiles and great sizes for this stage of the game. Another week and I will be more than pleased! 34 weeks is the gate where everything should be pretty well developed (esp since we had the steroid shot for the lung development)  and only thing they might not be ready for is 'sucking and swallowing' which means they could only be in the NICU for observation and teaching them how to drink a bottle on their own. Of course they will still be peanuts and considered preterm being delivered before 36 weeks, so they will observe them carefully.

Other than the doctor appt update, not much else going on. We have had some incredible meals delivered to us over the last week ... THANK YOU, Niky, Jen, Colleen/Aline and Jane!! We are so fortunate to have had so much help already! Although Scott tries VERY hard to be the jack of all trades these days ... one place that has never been his forte, is the kitchen. Typically take-out, microwave, or grilling 'protien' is all he can do with confidence. Again, not for lack of trying, of course :-).

Ok, I will write again later this weekend when I have more to share on weekend plans or events ... and will add the 33 week photo once I am able to get it taken ... so stay tuned!

Oh, and feel free to comment! I wonder who actually reads this thing :-)

Jane Beck - Taco Dinner - everyone needs a Godmother like Jane :-)

Enchilata Casserole - Niky Darrell - everyone needs this reciepe, mmmm!

One of my favorite meals of the day! Iced coffee and strawberry donut!
