29 weeks

I am a little late for the 29 week appt update, so sorry! I feel bad I am slacking on the updates! Lately its been a lot harder to sit with the laptop on my lap, the belly is in the way, more than ever. Matter of fact this has been a bit of a rough week. Monday I started feeling a little crummy, just a little more large than usual. Actually, my mom was here for her usual help/coverage for Caroline on Monday while Scott was at work. After being in the house all day, she suggested we get an ice cream to get out of the house on a hot day. It was a yummy ice cream (maple walnut with chocolate jimmies), but that little venture pooped me out! I had to go straight to the floor to lie down when we got home, and lets just say I was VERY hot from the activity and had to go to "minimal" clothing with a large fan on me. I am not sure if it was all the weekend activity from the shower catching up to me, or if I really grew as much as I felt like I did. Anywho the first half of the week was pretty physically and emotionally exhausting. I guess it isnt a huge surprise given that my body is running beyond a normal full term pregnant woman with 9 lbs of babies in me :-).

The doctor appt was kind of lame this week and almost felt like a waste of time. After a long commute into the city, we didnt get called into the ultrasound until 30 minutes past my appt time. Once I got in the room I found out I had a "fellow" doing the appt who had never scanned triplets before, and was having a hard time, keeping track of 'who was who'. After 20 minutes of it she decided to get someone who could help. Needless to say I had almost an hour and a half of laying on the table with lots of poking and prodding on a very uncomfortable belly. They didnt do any measurement this week, only the fetal physical tests where they scar the babies for activeness, muscle tone, chest/breathing. All babies did well. They also checked my cervix and it continues to remain long and closed - good news!! After that we went to check in with the doctor, but they messed up the appt times so we had to wait an hour to meet with him. Lets just hope that was the first and last week of a disorganized appt. Due to the aggravation, Scott promised me a yummy Jamba Juice on the way home!!
So, I havent taken the 29 week profile picture to see if I look as much "bigger" as I feel, but I will do so tomorrow and be sure to post the picture. I have noticed a change in my belly button though, its surely shifted and much closer to "popping out". It never came close to popping when I was pregnant with Caroline, so I can already confirm that I am bigger now than I was full term with her - ohh boyee!

trying to waste time in between messed up appt times

My treat for dealing with the frustrations of the day! JAMBA!! Carribean Passion!!

Today was a much better day compared to the rest of the week :-). I had some great visitors to help cheer me up! Niky and Aylin came by to visit all day. I got spoiled to breakfast from one of my favorite breakfast coffee joints called Donut Fresh, super yummerdoodle iced coffees! Then spoiled with lunch from Bravos subs. All the while, I got lots of kisses and smiles from Aylin while Niky spent a lot of time organizing and cleaning up the house. We have received a lot of gifts and packages over the last week (THANK YOU TO EVERYONE, and my UPS man thanks you for the job security) but there havent been enough hours in the evening for Scott to tackle getting it all organized and put away properly. Scott is planning to spend most of the day tomorrow trying to get the basement/attic more organized so that we can actually use our living space in the basement again :-) haha. I also got to visit with Kelly and baby Cameron Cimeno (who is only 3 weeks old). Kelly looked super and it was SO great to see her in the role as a Momma!! We enjoyed catching up on everything from work talk to Mommyhood, all the while I got snuggles from the little man. To top the evening off, we got a fabulous dinner of Texas Roadhouse ribs delivered by Kathy Gibson. She was trying to think of ideas that would help Scotts hungry protein habits, and it just so happened that ribs were my craving of the day!! Dinner was perfect!! It was nice to be able to catch up with Kath for a bit too ... I miss seeing her face everyday!!

Mr and Mrs Wickstrom - Married June 11, 2011
Well, I would be remissed if I didnt give a shout out to Loren and Amber (the groom and bride) soon to be Mr. and Mrs. Wickstrom on June 11th 2011!! Loren was the best man in our wedding and Scotts life long best friend from Arizona. When we found out we were pregnant with the triplets, we were completely broken hearted to know that the trip to AZ (for Scott to officiant the wedding) was likely going to be effected, as I surely wouldnt be able to fly at 29 weeks (with a full term uterus). We had high hopes and plans that as a minimum Scott would be able to go for a quick weekend trip. As the weeks passed, and our doctors told us time and time again that it wouldnt be smart or safe for him to leave cross country at this time - we kept hoping they would be wrong. Finally at our 25 week appt our doctor strongly urged that Scott really really shouldnt be leaving at such a fragile and risky time. Needless to say we had to cancel the flights and start to accept that he would not be able to be there to stand next to his best friend on one of the most important days of his life. As you can imagine weve (even Scott) shed many tears thinking about him not being able to be there. So, this evening and thru tomorrow we will be thinking of Loren and Amber, non stop. We are excited to see the pictures and hear all the stories of the big day. Of course, it will be nothing like being able to there in person to share and show our love and support as they enter this new part of life together, but they will be deeply in our mind and hearts!!

Caroline likes to not only kiss her siblings .. but lick them too :-)
